This positive affirmation is from Cadesha Prawl-Hill, a member of the New Haven, CT chapter of Black Girls Do Bike (BGDB), a national organization that is helping women across the country to take on a more active exercise routine and boost up their emotional and social well being.
BGDB was formed in 2013 to grow and support a community of women of color who share a passion for cycling. This group is breaking barriers in the cycling community and has expanded to 100+ chapters across the country. In this past year when options for gathering and exercising together were limited, BGDB has seen an increase in girls and women looking for a community that shared their passion for a healthy and social activity.
